Menstruation

Menstruation is a monthly sloughing off of the lining of the underutilized womb. Menstruation has different meanings in different societies while it has different significance for different women. But most society share the view that mensuration is a sign of sexual maturity although it does not necessarily indicate reproductive maturity.
Some girls readily accept the first menstrual period. They are joyful and excited while others are ashamed. This indicates how well girls are prepared for menarche, in terms of both information and attitudes. In recent times, menarche has been occurring earlier than attitude. Girls first menarche is in between 12 years.
Many researches have been carried out in recent years to determine the psychological effects of the marked fluctuations of hormonal levels that are connected to the menstrual cycle. One of the research says that most women experience depression, irritability, anxiety, and low self esteem during the days immediately preceding menstruation. Other researchers have also correlated women's well being with hormonal levels. Women are more alert at the beginning of the menstrual cycle, more relaxed at ovulation, angrier, more excitable and more tired during the premenstrual period. It was noted that the arrival of the menses usually brings some relaxation of tension, and as oestrogen production increases, the woman continues to feel better. But these observation did not apply for all women but majority of them could be said to experience these.

READING AND UNDERSTANDING

However there are many different obstacles in the way of easy understanding of a passage. It is your task as a reader to actively seek to break down the barriers to understanding.    One block to understanding is caused by references in the passage to things that are outside it. Pronoun are the first examples of words that refer to people and objects. Sometimes, it is easy to follow the reference at other times, it is more difficult. Look at the opening sentence of the passage you've just read that begins this way  "She was waiting for us:small, dowdy, dirty..."  Who was waiting? Who was the person waiting for? (Perhaps you would also like to know why she was waiting.)Answers to these questions will surely help you to understand and thus follow the reference. The first thing to do is to ask questions like the ones we have just asked and to read t...

Housing Problems

Housing is certainly one of the basic necessities of man. However when rural dwellers migrated to the urban areas in very large numbers, housing has become a problem. This further exacerbate by the upsurge in the number of people coming to stay in a country, increasing the country's population in a manner that surpasses the rate at which houses are built, and the relative in cash flow which makes people desires better living conditions.    The importance of housing is so universally acknowledge that the United Nations declared 1986 international year of shelter. But so far, all efforts made, including building of housing estates by the government, have not solved the problem of inadequate housing. How could this be solved? The government should make provision of amenities to be getting in cheap rates, various building materials such as cement, roofing sheets, asbestos, as well as finishing materials such as paints and tiles. The government should build and sell the house at a...

Why women have sex

Why do women have sex? And why do women have sex without commitment? It might be easy to assume that a woman’s sexuality is like a man’s, but if that were true, why would so many men still believe that there are good girls for marrying and fun girls for, well, fun? (That double standard is a myth, by the way.) Before you label her one thing or the other, consider her motives for hooking up with you. We all love a good throw down every now and again because, let’s be real, it’s a great time. But guys, here’s a little secret: Sex is more than just an evening (or afternoon or morning) of fun. In fact, according to science, getting busy on the regular can benefit your overall health in some pretty major ways.   Below are some reasons women have sex: Sex lowers your blood pressure One study shows that sexual intercourse specifically—as opposed to masturbation or other forms of sex play—has a significant impact on lowering systolic blood pressure (the first number on your blood pre...
